The Alvarado Veterinary Clinic was established in 1981 by Dr. Bud Pearce and began as a 1-man practice. Thirty-plus years later we have grown a bit and now claim to be the largest mixed animal practice in Texas employing 16 veterinarians, 18-20 veterinary techs, 8 secretary/receptionists and 2 practice managers.
We treat a variety of patients including dogs, cats, horses, cattle, donkeys, goats, and pigs. Not so commonly seen, but always welcome, are other species such as rabbits, hedgehogs, ferrets, camels, kangaroos, chickens, etc. We never know for sure what will come through the front door. We are a walk-in clinic so no appointment is necessary. We provide farm call services for our large animal clients and we are available for after-hour emergencies when the need arises. Located in Alvarado on HWY 67, just west of I-35W about 30 minutes south of Fort Worth, we are convenient to get to from just about anywhere.
We are proudly associated with the following veterinary associations:
  • AVMA – American Veterinary Medical Association
  • TVMA – Texas Veterinary Medical Association
  • TCVMA – Tarrant County Veterinary Medical Association
  • TEVA – Texas Equine Veterinary Association
  • TAVP – Texas Academy of Veterinary Practice
  • NAAVOS – North American Academy of Veterinary Orthopedic Surgery
  • AAEP – American Association of Equine Practitioners
  • AABP – American Association of Bovine Practitioners
Mission StatementOur goal at the Alvarado Veterinary Clinic is to provide the best veterinary care possible. We strive to promote the human-animal bond with a level of care that exceeds expectations. The best interests of our patients are always our primary concern.
